DATA DESTRUCTION POLICY

All e-waste items that store any sort of personal data are diligently erased, if the storage component(s) are functioning. E-waste devices such as laptops, computers and Chromebooks with internal storage (HDD, SSD, M.2 or etc…) will be automatically erased or the storage device is destroyed.

DATA RECOVERY & E-WASTE RELATED SERVICES

E-Waste Pick Up On-Site:

Please call to schedule an appointment for pickup on-site. It is $25 for on-site residential and small office pickup of unlimited e-waste items.

Data Recovery:

If you would like data from an e-waste device, we can try to recover the data from almost any computer, laptop, cell phone, tablet or Chromebook. There are many scenarios where the files are able to be recovered, even if the computer does not power on, and each device scenario requires expertise to determine if the data is there and able to be recovered. The complexity and amount of data directly affect the recovery costs. A typical computer that is functioning and has working components will require around 1 hour of service at the standard service rate to recover the data, such as documents, photos, videos and music.

If the data is available, the data can be loaded onto a USB storage drive, cloud download link, or directly in to your cell phone, tablet or computer.
